Information

The 4 & 5 year old Kindergarten programs of Bethel Baptist School are designed to provide a warm, welcoming environment in which students take their first steps toward education and socialization. Our skilled, caring teachers help students absorb the fundamental principles of the English language, mathematics, and the Bible. Language instruction consists primarily of phonics to develop word recognition, spelling, writing, vocabulary, and reading proficiency. The mathematics program focuses on number recognition, counting, telling time, and simple addition and subtraction. While biblical truth is an essential ingredient of all studies, we also devote time to the study of scripture in and of itself. During this time, students sing hymns and choruses, listen to Bible stories, and memorize Bible verses. In all areas of study, students are given opportunity to express themselves and develop fine motor skills.

We believe that children learn by actively participating, exploring, and discovering (Proverbs 20:11). Our classrooms invite children to choose from activities that capture and hold their interest. Our teachers provide a balance of playtime with structured learning experiences that include reading and writing, math, science, social studies, music, art, literature appreciation, gross and fine motor development and spiritual development. Our program is designed to provide endless active learning opportunities that:
