Welcome Christmas

After long months of heat and beach parties, California is finally welcoming the Christmas season with blankets of snow and showers of rain!

How do I feel about this spontaneous change in weather? I could not be more overjoyed! This is the perfect time to welcome the mounds of snow and flooding gutters. People complain and complain about the rain and the cold, but if you look at it from a new perspective, you will see that God planned this season to be one of hope, whether it is hoping for the rain, hoping for a gift, or hoping to see someone that you love.

The weather is finally beginning to agree with the season. My perspective on this is that God had perfect timing for the rain to pour down upon us and that this is an example of how extremely powerful He is and how beautiful His blessings upon this earth are. We need to remember that this season is not just about the holly and the wreaths and the packages and the bows. It is also about the love that God has for us, enough that He would send his son down to this earth to give the greatest gift of all. Eternal life. So, welcome Christmas, with your boxes and bows, and welcome Christmas with God’s love and blessings.
